When can I expect my order to ship?

We ship all orders on the first Monday or Tuesday after the order has been placed. This ensures transit times are minimized for any plants heading to their new home. 

What if I need to change my order?

If you need to change any details to your order, please reach out to us as soon as possible. Our chat on the bottom right of the screen or an email to will be the best ways to reach us.

Do you ship internationally?

Everything but our plants ship world-wide, including our hand made planters. If you're having trouble at checkout, please check that your selected product does not include plants. 

How are your plants packaged?

Having your new plants arrive healthy and happy to their new home is hugely important to us. To ensure the best trip possible, we encase each plant's root system with a moist towel and bag. This provides water and nutrients through their journey. 

Additionally, we prioritize 3-day shipping, avoid weekend deliveries and pack with heat packs when shipping to colder climates.

Plant Guarantee

How do I request new plants?

Sometimes the travel and new environment just don't quite work out on the first go. If you need to request a new plant from Modern Botanical, just reach out to or message us in the chat below. We'll track down your order and have your new plants shipped out on the first Monday or Tuesday. 

Do I qualify for the plant guarantee?

We guarantee all our plants for 120 days in their new home. So long as your order is within that window, we'll ship you a replacement, no questions asked. 

We love supporting our customers with plant growing knowledge. If you're having some trouble with a plant or two, please reach out to our team and we'd be happy to help troubleshoot with plant care tips as best we can!

Cold Weather Shipping

Do you ship during winter?

Yes, even in winter you deserve new plants! When shipping to colder temperatures, we'll ship our plants with heating packs and sometimes a second box for insulation so they stay comfortable through transit. 

If you're experiencing a polar vortex or below freezing temperatures, our team may reach out to hold your plants until weather warms. If this is the cause, you'll have the option to receive your non-plant products in an earlier shipment. 

Finally, sometimes weather is unpredictable. If your new plants had a tougher than expected journey, please reach out to our team immediately at so we can schedule a replacement as soon as possible.
